J. G. Wood. An intriguing book following the author's adventurous travels in Guiana, West Indies. Originally published in 1825.Old Christmas: From the Sketch-Book of Washington Irving, with some charming old English traditions. With illustrations by Randolph Caldecott.Bracebridge Hall by Washington Irving, originally published in 1821. An episodic novel comprised of a series of character sketches with numerous individual plots. Illustrated by Randolph Caldecott. The whole work is fully illustrated with numerous vignettes by Arthur Hughes, Sydney Prior Hall, Randolph Caldecott, et al. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear and some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. With a minor soiling to the boards and spine. With an illustration by a previous owner pasted to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. With some offsetting to the endpapers and title page as well as a faint minor scattered spotting particularly to the first and last few leaves, although the pages are generally very clean throughout.
